Open Science Day 2026 En présentiel

The University of Liège invites you to the 4th edition of Open Science Day on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at the Faculty room (Salle des Professeurs, Place du 20-Août). The event is designed to foster discussion about our Open Science practices and to (re)discover certain tools, new features, or initiatives developed or currently in progress at ULiège in this field.

Program

MORNING

8:30 - 9:00 : Reception and coffee

9:00 - 9:15 : Opening remarks, Paul THIRION, ULiège Head Librarian

11:45 - 13:00 : Lunch and poster session

AFTERNOON

13:00 - 13:30 : Keynote speech - Paul Wouters, Professor Emeritus at Leiden University and a leading figure for more than 30 years in the advancement of open research, notably through Open Access and research assessment reform.

13:30h - 15:00 : Panel discussion “The recognition of open science practices in research assessment” with:

  • Paul Wouters, Professor Emeritus at Leiden University
  • Véronique Halloin, General Secretary of F.R.S-FNRS
  • Vinciane Gaillard, Director for Research and Innovation at EUA
  • Agnès Guiderdoni, Pro-Rector for Research at UCLouvain
  • Michel Moutschen, Vice-Rector for Research at ULiège
